The Japanese automaker, Nissan has been producing high quality cars since 1934. They have shown their success as one of the top three Asian rivals of the "big three" in the U.S. In fact, they are presently the third largest Japanese car manufacturer. The success could not have been possible if not for Nissan vehicles such as the Altima. Top-of-the line Nissan Altima parts make sure that the vehicle performs efficiently. The Nissan Altima is a mid-size car often attributed as the next generational model of the Nissan Bluebird in 1957. The name Altima was initially a trim line of the Nissan Laurel mid-size car sold in the Caribbean before 1992. By 1993, the Altima was introduced as entirely a new Nissan model. Nissan Altima parts are continuously being developed evident in the four designs in the generational models of 1993-1997, 1998-2001, 2002-2006 and 2007-present.
The current model of the Altima had a few modifications implements on a number of its Nissan Altima parts. Some of these include the new and upgraded front as well as rear suspension. An Altima coupe was also introduced later on. It was said to be Nissan's first two-door Altima ever. It featured newer Nissan Altima parts like a shorter wheelbase, shorter overall length and lower height than the Altima Sedan. The coupe version was offered in two engines. The Altima model was also used as the base model for Nissan's first hybrid car. Nissan had an agreement with a rival company by using its hybrid technology. The hybrid version of Nissan Altima has a 2.5 liter engine, CVT and an electric motor. It also boasts fuel efficiency of 42 mpg in city driving and 36 on the highway.

Nissan Auto Parts: The Embodiment of the Great Nissan Philosophy

Nissan Auto Parts: The Embodiment of the Great Nissan Philosophy
by Glady Reign
“Love car, love people, love life.” This has been Nissan’s guiding principle in carving out its niche in the automotive industry. With its dedication to the people as well as its zest for everything that life has to offer, Nissan has manifested such values in designing superior cars that are tailor-made to the needs of the public. Today, Nissan vehicles are lauded for its main attributes of being reasonably priced, highly reliable, and technologically advanced.
Contrary to popular belief among car consumers that Nissan is a relatively new player in the industry, Nissan actually traces its origins back to as early as 1911. The brand recognition may only seem recent, as it previously operated under different names and in a foreign country, unlike the typical pioneering American and European automakers. Originating in Japan, Nissan was initially called as the “Kwaishinsha Motorcar Works,” then “Kwaishinsha Motorcar Co.”, and again renamed “DAT Motorcar Company.” Further corporate mergers triggered another set of name alterations from “DAT Automobile Manufacturing Co. Limited” to “Jidosha-Seizo Co. Limited.” The term ‘Nissan’ only came into the company’s history in 1934 through the Nissan Motor Company. Fickle as though Nissan may appear in terms of company name, there is nothing inconsistent in its vision to provide quality cars to the market. Intent to excel in its craft, Nissan even partnered with a European corporation to gain access to automobile and engine designs. With much engineering genius, it was in the 1950s that Nissan found itself entering American soil with its unique Datsun sedans and compact trucks. Since then, Nissan never looked back.
At present, Nissan already has numerous high-powered vehicles tucked under its belt. It has fully exercised its expertise in creating a range of trucks, sport-utility vehicles, minivans, economical cars, and luxury sedans. Its popular trucks are the Nissan Titan and Nissan Frontier. Its line of SUVs and minivans, on the other hand, include the Nissan Quest, Pathfinder, Armada, and Murano. In addition, the car lineup boasts of the Nissan Sentra, Maxima, and Altima, to name a few. Nissan also offers a range of world-class luxury sedans under the Infiniti badge.
However, more than its top-of-the-line vehicles, Nissan has elevated its capabilities to new heights with its continuous clientèle assistance through the availability of Nissan auto parts. Each of these Nissan auto parts is stamped with the innovative and powerful performance intended for the vehicle’s smooth running. Nissan auto parts can be categorized for specific Nissan models such as the Nissan Pathfinder parts or Nissan Altima parts. These can also be available in both individual and general kinds, such as the Nissan fenders, spoilers, fuel tanks, alternators, condensers, coolant tanks, and a long list of other parts. The Nissan engine parts, for instance, are considered industry marvels. The VQ35DE, Nissan’s all aluminum 3.5L V6 engine, is remarkably good for 245 horsepower at 5,800 rpm. Nissan’s continuously variable transmission (CVT), dubbed as the Xtronic, is specifically designed to handle the power of the VQ35DE. With all these things considered, Nissan is indeed a brand that reeks of style, innovation, and consumer commitment. It does not just rely on tried-and-tested products, but continuously engineers superior Nissan auto parts that provide the car’s maximum performance.

Company's Success Attributed to Nissan car parts

Company's Success Attributed to Nissan car parts

The Japanese car company of Nissan has become very successful in creating a global market, though this did not happen overnight. Nissan vehicles were formerly marketed under the Datsun brand name. Nissan has become very successful that the company has been placed in one of the top three Asian rivals to compete with the “big three” of the US automakers. Presently, Nissan is the third largest Japanese car manufacturer in the world. The company gained this status with its production of high quality Nissan car parts installed in each and every vehicle model Nissan introduces into the market.
One of these is the popular Nissan VQ engine. The V6 engine is one of the many Nissan car parts that received recognition in the car industry. In fact, it has been featured as one of Ward's 10 Best Engines for 12 straight years, since the award was first given. The new generation VQ series engine premiered on the 2007 Infiniti G35 and the 2007 Nissan 350Z. It's been said that a larger 3.7 VQ engine will be used in the G37 coupe and there is a possibility that a twin turbocharged version will be used on the Skyline. The Nissan name was actually first used in the 1930s as records show. It was an abbreviated form for Nippon Sangyo.
Producing top performing Nissan car parts was the company's goal as shown in their constant search for the latest cutting-edge automotive technology. This ultimately prepared the company for its plans to enter the global automotive market. By the time 1958 came around, Nissan was already introducing cars in the U.S. market, starting from the first time the company showed its vehicles at the 1959 Los Angeles auto show. The company then formed a U.S. subsidiary, Nissan Motor Corporation in U.S.A. By 1989. Continuous improvement on Nissan car partsâ€"making these parts more durable, longer lasting and infinitely better than other car partsâ€"helped establish the company's name in the US market.

Nissan Maxima Parts Deliver Maximum Performance

Nissan Maxima Parts Deliver Maximum Performance

The American market considers the Maxima as one of Nissan's most significant vehicles. Known originally as the Datsun 810, it officially became "Maxima" in 1982. At the same time, the Datsun brand began its evolution into Nissan. A second-generation Maxima which introduced a front wheel drive V6 became available from 1985 to 1988. The third-generation Maxima later emerged for the 1989 to 1994 model years. During this period, Nissan enjoyed immense product success with the first Nissan Maxima featuring true-blue sporting credentials. Unlike other Japanese mid-sized sedans, the Maxima came with a V6 only and the option to order a manual transmission. An option for a 160-hp V6 was offered for early versions. The 190-hp engine was then presented in 1992 for the Maxima SE. Cars built for the 1995 to 1999 model years made up the fourth generation. For this model of the Maxima, Nissan made room for a greater length, improved the quality of the interior, and introduced a new 190-hp all-aluminum V6 for all trim levels. The handling was not quite as responsive as the previous version and the styling did not appear to be well-received. However, it remained popular due to its desirable combination of utility, performance, and luxury. The years 2000 to 2003 saw the coming of the fifth-generation Maxima. Major developments include the 222 hp from the standard V6, a boost in rear-seat legroom, and a 200-watt Bose audio system. In 2002, a bump in power to 255 hp was added as a distinguishing mark of the Nissan Maxima from the new Nissan Altima.
The Maxima available in the market today is the car's sixth generation. It is a front-wheel-drive, mid-sized sedan that packs a 255-horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine. Sending the engine's power to the front wheels is a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The current model was last redesigned in 2004. Before the 2007 model year came out, the Maxima was packaged with either a 5-speed automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual. Although the horsepower rating is listed as being higher (265) due to a new power rating procedure implemented in 2007, the engine performance is unchanged.
With all the best in technology, design, and luxury manifested in the Nissan Maxima like its excellent features and award -winning V6 engine, it has gained loyal followers around the globe. Nissan has constantly exerted so much effort to make sure that the Nissan Maxima will always be a cut above the rest. Among Nissan's efforts is the development of superior Nissan Maxima parts like the engine which converts gasoline into motion so that the car can actually move. Unlike other vehicles which use belts to drive the camshafts, the Maxima engine has internal chains for the twin overhead cams to remove the need for regular replacement of the timing belt. As the engine performs one of the most needed functions of a vehicle to keep it in good running condition at all times, it is helpful to ensure good engine lubrication. This can be done by performing timely oil and oil filter changes and using only high quality oil and oil filters. Periodically checking the cooling system, the coolant level, and radiator will also help in preventing the engine from overheating. It is also recommended to perform engine maintenance and tune-up according to the owners' manual schedule and to immediately eliminate any minor engine defects. Just like the Nissan Maxima parts , there are Nissan Maxima parts accessories that have important roles and therefore deserve proper caring. When these Nissan Maxima parts and accessories , big or small, start showing signs of wearing out or damage, immediate servicing or replacement should be done. One can choose to further improve the performance of the Nissan Maxima by getting only the best quality Nissan Maxima parts and accessories that the market offers.

Nissan UK Factory Creates 800 Jobs

Nissan UK Factory Creates 800 Jobs
by Anthony Fontanelle
Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co. will be opening a factory in the United Kingdom to respond to the rising demand for the Qashqai. As a direct consequence, the automaker will be creating 800 jobs.
"Currently, on two shifts, we can produce 200,000 Qashqais per year. However, the car is proving so popular we now need to significantly increase our volume," said Trevor Mann, the senior vice president of Nissan Europe.
Nissan's Sunderland plant, which employs 4,200 workers, built 353,000 cars in 2007. Over 130,000 of the small 4X4 vehicles have been sold in the U.K. since their debut in March last year. On a daily basis, approximately 850 Qashqais roll off the production line. This is why there is a need for the automaker to add an extra night-shift.
The automaker's plant in Sunderland, which has started producing cars in 1986, will be adding a third shift in order to produce four models - Qashqai, Note and two Micra.
The manufacturer of Nissan wheels also added in an interview with the Press Association that hundreds of temporary workers will also be offered permanent jobs. Half of the new jobs will be full-time and the other 400 will be temporary, and all the new workers will be recruited by the end of 2008, the report continued.
"This is a tremendously positive move by Nissan and represents a great vote of confidence both in the success of Qashqai and in the Sunderland workforce, who achieved a record production year in 2007," Mann said. "Today, this level of recruitment in the Western European car manufacturing sector is rare, and reflects the ongoing commitment Nissan has in its UK operation."
"This is fantastic news for the North East, our members and the motor industry as a whole. Unite members were instrumental in the near flawless launch of the UK-designed Qashqai. With orders and forecasted sales expected to be even better this year, a third shift of production is needed in order to meet demand," Roger Maddison, national officer for union Unite, told the BBC News.
The automaker's Sunderland plant built almost five million cars since production on Wearside began a couple of decades ago.

2009 Nissan Murano: Safety Incarnate

2009 Nissan Murano: Safety Incarnate
by Anthony Fontanelle
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety conducts tests on new vehicles so as to be able to find out which among the lot come with the best safety features which could really protect passengers. Results of crash tests would be announced by the IIHS so that consumers would be guided on their purchase of vehicles.
As per the recent tests done by the IIHS, the 2009 Nissan Murano took the top spot among nine other midsized SUVs with four doors. And with that performance, it was awarded the Top Safety Pick award. The vehicles had to go through front tests, side tests, and rear tests and they were aptly graded.
The worst 2008 models did show just what they could not do. For side tests, three 2008 models reflected how poor they could get during side crashes. The three were comprised of the Jeep Liberty, the Kia Sorento, and the four-door Jeep Wrangler. Among the three, the lowest grades went to the Kia Sorento.
They were not exceptional but good ratings are good ratings, especially if you have poor performers with you. For side tests and front crashes, the IIHS was able to find out that good ratings were what the Mazda CX7 and the Mazda CX9 deserved. The Mitsubishi Endeavor also earned good ratings. These three vehicles may have joined the 2009 Nissan Murano in the spotlight however they had low ratings during rear tests. The three were unable to protect passengers well against neck injury which often happens during crashes from the rear. For that, the Mazda CX7 and CX9 only earned marginal ratings while the Mitsubishi Endeavor took home a poor rating.
Joe Nolan is the IIHS' senior vice president on the results he disclosed, "Combined with test results released last year, consumers now have 9 midsize, moderately priced SUV models that earn our Top Safety Pick designation. More good news is that manufacturers have been moving quickly to add safety features like stability control and side airbags to their SUV models. All of the SUVs in this group have ESC, and all but the Wrangler have standard side airbags. Increasingly, consumers are getting the latest safety equipment without having to hunt through a list of options."
What took the 2009 Nissan Murano to the top? Well, Nissan sure did spruce up the vehicle so that it does not only look and perform well but so much so that it also protects well. This new version comes with the electronic stability control as a standard feature. It can be upgraded with nifty products cargo-logic series cargo liner to protect the floor but what is important are the seat belts and the air bags which protect the passengers best.
